Weekly thought on $AEMD, $AMRN, $GRWG, $IBIO, $LRAD, TRXC

Before you read on, please be aware that the analysis below is my opinion only and may include flawed assumptions and inaccuracy of logic; therefore, caveat emptor applies here.  Furthermore, all emphasis (color-coded, boldness, and underlined) on the excerpts are my own.

This was quite a volatile week with the broad market taking a downward path from the beginning until Friday when the market rallied to recover nicely for the week. Now, we will see if the upward momentum continues next week.

This week, I made another adjustment to my port by re-adjusting my current positions to accommodate $AMRN.  I wanted to jump back in $AMRN because the bounce from Tuesday to Thursday was persistent enough that I bought back in on Thursday betting on price breaking above $3 resistance.  I also jumped into $DCTHD on Friday morning when I believed that the news, “Delcath Announces Another DSMB Recommendation for Phase 3 Focus Trial” posted by Simewin1 at stocktwits, could spark a rally since FDA previous issue with DCTH’s cancer drug was the safety concern. Lo and behold, after I bought my shares in the morning, the price shot up over 200% from my entry point, and I could not resist banking profit to take advantage of the windfall.  Perhaps, $DCTHD will continue higher next week, but I’m just happy with my 180% profit for the day.  Btw, DCTHD got a “D” attached at the end because of their 1:500 reversed stock split.  The truth is that I felt much better paying in dollar per shares than to pay $0.004 per shares; therefore, the reversed stock split is not without benefit when it came with good news after the reversed split.  I used the proceed I made from $DCTHD to buy more $AMRN looking for the continuation of rally next week.

This week, I borrowed Warren Buffett’s signature wisdom to discuss $TRXC, and I’m going to do the same here. Below is an excerpt from my $TRXC post:

Below is an excerpt from the article “Warren Buffett: ‘We have operated in this country with the greatest tailwind you can imagine at your back’

“Buffett told this story in order to drive home his major point: Invest in something you believe in, that you know will succeed over time, and you cannot go wrong — invest in American business.”

  • Invest in something you believe in,
  • that you know will succeed over time
  • You cannot go wrong

Perhaps it’s best if you read my $TRXC post first to get some background information before continuing on here by clicking –> here.

Why I believe in $LRAD:

  • Best mass notification technology
  • Best directional acoustic device that could reach much further than conventional speaker

Why I know it will succeed over time:

  • Performance of legacy bullhorn is pale in comparison to LRAD’s mass notification system
  • There may be a large order from the U.S. military
  • Increase in natural disaster due to global warming may increase demand for LRAD’s mass notification system
  • Potential to be included in the U.S./Mexico border wall

Why I believe in $IBIO:

  • Plant-based protein expression will save the day when the pandemic comes
  •  IBIO-CFB03 has the potential to reverse fibrosis
  • Plant-based protein expression will eventually be adopted by BP

Why I know it will succeed over time:

  • The pandemic attack is a question of when not if
  • Cost-effectiveness
  • Faster production time

Why I believe in $AEMD:

  • Its hemopurifier ability to filter most viruses from the human body is pure magic!
  • Its hemopurfiier can filter viruses, known and unknown, that have no FDA approved treatment yet
  • Its hemopurifier have the potential to improve cancer treatment by removing bio-materials that are needed by metastatic cancer to survive and grow
  • Its hemopurifier can diagnose and monitor neurological disorders

Why I know it will succeed over time:

  • Our world needs a universal treatment for all kind of virus attacks
  • Its exosome science is revolutionary

Why I believe in $AMRN:

  • Its lead product is Vascepa, a prescription-only omega-3 fatty acid capsule, may reduce adverse cardiovascular events more than taking statin alone.
  • Its Reduce-It trial have good odd to be successful

Why I know it will succeed over time:

  • I’ve been taking Vascepa for years, and I felt great!
  • There was a similar trial in Japan years ago that proved EPA only omega-3 oil helped reduce cardiovascular events based on a small sample of subset data

Why I believe in $GRWG:

  • Its M&A approach to consolidate stores supporting cannabis growers is at the right time
  • Medicinal cannabis is gaining traction and patients may need to grow their own supplies to save money

Why I know it will succeed over time:

  • Strong management team
  • Cannabis may be heading to acceptance by Federal gov’t soon
  • Medicinal cannabis is gaining worldwide attention due to its numerous anecdotal positive results
  • More countries are opening their door to medicinal cannabis

For the record, the lists under “Why I know it will succeed over time” are my opinions only.  Just because I know it will succeed over time may not mean it will; however, it is the basis of why I’m holding my positions.

Despite drawdown from $TRXC and $IBIO, my win on $DCTHD more than offset my overall drawdowns to end the week with a small gain.

Current positions (in alphabet order):

AEMD  AMRN  GRWG  IBIO  LRAD  TRXC & cash (up 2.4% YTD)

My 2 cents
