The bull was having a bad week. The bear, by use of brute force, brought down the bull.
However, the bull is still in the bullish territory despite a bad week. This week closed at the support from the mid-July high of last year. Price is still way above the weekly 79 & 89 MA lines. There are still time for the bull to pull itself together and fight its way back to the top.
Fortunately for my port, while three (out of four) positions followed the general market downturn for the day, $LRAD rallied hard in preparing for next Thursday earning report.
Look at that beautiful overall uptrend direction in the weekly chart above. Notice that most of the price action since 2013 were contained inside the uptrend Andrew’s Pitchfork bands. Price looks like it is going to take out the upper Andrew’s Pitchfork band very soon. If earnings are great with positive guidance next Thursday, price will surely break out next week.
$DMRC fought a good battle for the week and was able to close next to the mini-uptrend line.
It is good news that the week closed above the 79 & 89 MA lines while the 5 & 15 MA lines converged into the week closing price which also intersected with the uptrend line.
$CERS also fought a good battle for the week. Price was able to stay above the 79 & 89 MA lines as well as the 15 MA line.
As you can see on the weekly chart, price settled at the 50% Fib retracement as well. The overall trend is still up and a bounce may happen when news of progress in the US sales begin to surface.
$TINY fought its way back to the top of the weekly bar to close the week.
Not bad but it still needs to climb back above the 79 & 89 MA lines.
After my sales of $ORBC and $AMRN to buy $CERS, $CERS is now neck to neck in term of investment size with $DMRC. Currently, $DMRC is slightly ahead of $CERS. Let’s see these two battle out to stay in second place.
Thanks to $LRAD having a grand day, my port gained another 1.6% despite corrections from the other three stocks. YTD gain is now at 2.6%.
LRAD, DMRC CERS, TINY (100 invested/speculated).
From my other account:
I’m still holding $ARTH, $TRTC, and $VTCQ.
My 2 cents
Wisdom from Warren Buffet:
“With a wonderful business, you can figure out what will happen; you can’t figure out when it will happen. You don’t want to focus on when, you want to focus on what. If you’re right about what, you don’t have to worry about when”
